It was pure coincidence that I had the chance to work with Cars N U. It started when one of their staff contacted me after seeing my ad on Carousell/Facebook and offered to help sell my car. I had a chat with them and understood their business model which I felt was very reasonable and fair. There was no need to sign any contract and it was really built on trust. They helped me to filter away low ballers and fake deals (from other dealers) and would constantly update me on the number of queries and price offered thus far. They also arranged for viewings and was present on site to help answer questions. Along the way, I had many more queries from 'agents' who also offered the same service but at different business models. Some would demand that you drop your current agent to work with them exclusively while others would charge you an admin fee (and possibly the buyer as well). Cars N U were upfront and honest about their policy and I found that very refreshing. With all things, it is most important to give them time to market the product and to gain exposure. I'm happy to say that it only took less than a month from the time they contacted me till I handed over my car to its new owner. I was also able to sell it close to my asking price as well. I admit I was hesitant at first when they contacted me as this was the first time I had gone through an agent but their sincerity and professionalism won me over.
